Helios Education Foundation is committed to developing collaborations that transform education in both Arizona and Florida so that all students, particularly first-generation, minority, and underrepresented students, have the opportunity to succeed in postsecondary education. This commitment to the transformational power of education led the Foundation to launch our Latino Student Success Initiative in Arizona, and our Florida Regional Student Success Initiative, which concentrates in the metropolitan areas of Tampa, Orlando, and Miami.

to succeed

Forming collaborations that transform led Helios to further statewide and local partnerships in both Arizona and Florida, to deepen our engagement within the policy arena, and to launch both the Arizona Community Engagement Team and the Florida Community Engagement Team, as well as an organization-wide Program Administration and Organizational Learning Team.

As each state’s Community Engagement Team furthers our work through strategic investing, building and reforming systems, public and political will building, and collaborating and convening, we look forward to deepening partnerships all along the education continuum. We strive for all students to start their education journey in a high-quality early learning environment that prepares them to enter kindergarten ready to learn, and we work to ensure that their education experience immerses them in a college-going culture enabling them to not only have access to, but also complete a postsecondary degree.

The impactful work of 2017 transformed lives, systems, and outcomes, yet Helios and our partners have only begun. As a foundation in perpetuity, we hope to impact generations that follow by harnessing the transformational power of education.

We hope you enjoy a review of 2017’s Collaborations that Transform.
